Pienza and Assisi

Okay.  It has always been my understanding that European accommodations are "substandard" relative to what we are used to...small, ill equipped, uncomfortable beds.  That has not been our experience so far, and interesting to note, lovely accommodations has not been our goal at any point.  Accommodation booking first up was to be on a main town square...where the action is, so to speak.

However, almost without fail we have gotten a healthy dose of Old World Charm.  And this place we just arrived at in Assisi is remarkable.  The following photos are of the view from our window, and the room itself.  Note the roof top garden across the lane...
